Groupwork

This course is intended for people who wish to develop and improve their work with groups that are intended to help people, including therapy groups, support groups etc.  The course provides both experiential and theoretical learning.

This one year course aims to help people to become skilled and reflective groupworkers. Applicants will have had previous experience of one of the following:

  • groupwork as a leader or co-leader
  • training 1:1 counselling/therapy
  • experience in the caring professions
  • experience in the voluntary sector working with groups
  • delivery of training to groups

The course is formatted aroud 30 Monday evening modules.

Participants are also expected to attend supplementary workshops from our Open Programme. For further information please refer to our prospectus.
