It is of interest to those working in a voluntary or professional capacity, and to people interested in using counselling skills in their lives and relationships.

[BACP Accredited Course]
This modular course develops counsellors who wish to meet the requirements for accreditation by the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy.
Our course covers all main aspects of the theory and practice of counselling, including modules on setting up professional practice.
Students enjoy small group sizes offering plenty of tutor time.
Our Diploma course is available part time over two years. The course is available on a Wednesday or Friday.
Entry requirements are detailed in our course prospectus but include 60hrs previous training in counselling or equivalent, attending own therapy weekly throughout the course, adherence to the BACP code of ethics and membership of the BACP.
Selection to the course is via application and selection interview.
We keep contact with our former graduates via our regular Newsletter many of whom have gone on to establish successful private practices or to work as paid counsellors in organisations.
Our philosophy is broadly humanistic and we believe that all techniques and theories are limited and should never be used in ways that avoid or distort contactful relationship between client and counsellor or therapist.
